Fee Structure for 4 Year Undergraduate Program at True School of Music

* Fees schedule is applicable for the program commencing 2024. This schedule is indicative and will vary depending on the Credits taken by the student. The extra credits will be charged at the rate of Rs 10,000 per credit and this rate will be subject to reduction in case the student has got a scholarship award.

Other Fee Payable by all Students (one-time payment)

Students are required to pay Rs. 10,000 towards "Alumni Association" at the time of admission
Students are required to pay Rs. 5,000 towards "Student Council Fund" at the time of admission

Hostel Fee for Residential Students

Security deposit will need to be paid before bed allocation and will returned at the time of vacating the hostel after deducting the standard damage charges levied for that year
Hostel rooms are shared with other inmates and the number of inmates is determined by the configuration of the rooms
Allocation of beds is done through a lottery system
Annual hostel fees are subject to revision each year
All meals are managed by Sodexo and is included in the hostel fee

Scholarship Pathways

EWS Scholarship

This is for candidates belonging to the Economic Weaker Section (EWS). This scholarship will be 100 percent and will cover tuition and hostel fees both.

Defence Scholarship

This scholarship will be awarded on a first cum first basis to wards of parents who are employed by the Defence Services i.e. Army, Airforce and the Navy.

Sports & Performance

Applicable to those applicants who have represented their state or the country in any national or international sport event or those applicants who can demonstrate proficiency in performing arts

Requirements for EWS Scholarship

To avail this scholarship the following criteria shall be observed:

The family income of the candidate should not be more than Rs 8,00,000 ( Rupees Eight Lacs)
The candidate should have undergone the VU selection process and earned qualifying marks prescribed for this scholarships and have been recommended by the ASP panel and approved by the Dean
For grant of scholarship, a candidate must secure the prescribed qualifying marks, as approved by the Academic Council
All Students granted scholarship will be required to maintain a CGPA of 7.00 every academic year to continue availing the scholarship
All students awarded such scholarship will be required to work for atleast 200 hours very year in a function assigned by the University.

In - State Students and In State Tuition Fee

Students who are domiciled in Maharashtra are eligible to get a subsidised tuition fee for the undergraduate programs at True School of Music. Students availing the instate status will not be permitted to participate in any other scholarships.

To establish instate status the student will have to meet either of the following two criterion

The applicant should be bonafide student of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) board of Maharashtra. To establish eligibility the student will need to provide the HSC marksheet and in the absence of the same will need to share the examination hall ticket assigned by the HSC board.

The student will need to provide proof of residence for atleast 5 years in Maharashtra
